Add to Technorati FavoritesOSCAR PREDICTIONS

  • It's never too early - I've had them ready for a couple of weeks now, and today I improved the list.
  • Of course, I don't know anything for sure, but I have a GOOD track record on this. ;-)
  • Most of my predictions look very possible. Even the wins - That being said, a 4th win for Meryl, while I AM predicting it now, and while might be fully deserved, will surely prove a controversial one & will happen only in the light of poor competition. We'll see.

I think Meryl will win anyway. That role is just OMG. I believe she will sweep all the awards if she's as good as she's said to be. But I have a really different lineup.

I'm hoping very much for Margo. She deserves all the recognition she gets.

There are indeed so many possibilities for Best Actress. I had a very impressive longlist for this category.

I suspect someone like Blanchett could also surprise depending how the Woody Allen film goes.

I kept Benning, because it might just be one of those Nancy Meyer types of comedy.

Hey,

When are you doing 2012 Best Actress analysis??!

Also suprised to see no Watts, Winslet or Kidman. All are safe bets, I can see definitely one of either Watts or Kidman...

@B Murphy,

thanks for asking about it, but... it's a complicated period of time both in my personal life & professional... so it's all slowing down.

I doubt Nicole - she feels nothing like Grace Kelly to me AND... the role doesn't seem dramatic enough. Winslet's might just be a thriller-flick. And Watts... I think she's the most likely of the 3, but I just have a feeling about Bening. And I think Swank could also make it. I need to believe in Delpy. And I've only heard good things about Sandra. And Meryl among the 5 is a no-brainer.
